How I became a Mary Kay Consultant

I have been looking for a way to make money and stay home with my boys for a while now. In this economy it is so hard to make it on one income and I wanted to help my husband out. About a Month ago I attended a Mary Kay skin care/color party that one of my best friends was hosting for another friend of mine that was a new Mary Kay Consultant. I went to have some much needed girl time (as a stay at home mom of two little boys ages 2 and 4 I dont get much of that) and to purchase a few products. The last thing I would have thought, is that I would have even considered selling Mary Kay, but after talking to my now, sales director, I had told her that I was very interested and that I was absolutly amazed at the earning potential, incentives, values, and basically every aspect of the company. I woke up the next morning with Mary Kay on the brain, I was so scared, scared to take that leap of faith, scared at what everyone would say and think, and I began to doubt it. My now team leader, invited me to attend a Mary Kay meeting the following week, I ended up not being able to make it. So she invited me next week, and after talking to both my now team leader and now sales director and telling them my fears and doubts they helped me through them and assured me that I could do this and I could do well at it. So I went to the meeting that next week, not knowing at all what to expect, and boy was i surprised. I walked into a room of pink deco, fun music, a raffle table, and lots of beautiful, smiling, happy and friendly women. I thought to myself, Oh my gosh, this is sooo me! I am a total girlie girl, always have been and always will be! They did some recognition and the girls got sunglasses and jewelry and I was like...hey i want that!!Then the National Sales Director Kelly Mccarroll got up and told us about the Mary Kay opportunity and her story and I was blown away! I was sold on the company right then and there, I didnt care what my parents or friends thought, I had already talked it over with my husband and he was very supportive, and I thought its not about anyone else, this is for my family and I made the decision to become a consultant! The women were so welcoming and friendly and I got a free Miracle Set that night just for signing up ($90 value)! I came home PUMPED and I have been pumped up ever since!I have set huge goals for myself but with God on my side I know I can reach them!Mary Kay Ash, our founder always said God first, Family second, and Career third...I think if we all lived this way we would be much happier people!
